Must see places in Haiku, Maui, Hawaii

Tourism in Maui, Haiku, one of the most famous island cities in Hawaii, is geared towards activities in the midst of nature. Although there are options to enjoy the local nightlife, it is during the day that the magic of the island happens. With such beautiful scenery, we can do more than enjoy the sunlight to see and admire everything. Hawaii belongs to the United States and is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, about 4 thousand km from North America.

More than 132 islands are part of the Hawaiian archipelago. Most of the cities are in the southeastern region of the archipelago, where the largest islands in Hawaii are located and the only inhabited ones. One of them is Maui, the 2nd largest island in Hawaii and formed by several beaches, perfect for the practice of various water sports, waterfalls, lagoons, trails and many volcanoes. The island is also known for being a very romantic destination, which attracts many honeymoon couples.

Haleakala National Park

From mountains to valleys, from the Pacific coast to a volcanic crater, this national park encompasses a wide range of natural habitats.

Wailea Beach

This stretch of sand is part of an upscale resort community and is an ideal spot for sunbathing, snorkeling and spotting green turtles and stingrays.

Haleakala Crater

Considered one of the best places in the US to watch the sunset, it is the focal point of Haleakala National Park and indicates the point where the Island of Maui originated.

Kamuela Beach Park 3

Once you are on site, visit Kamuela Beach Park 3, one of the best beaches in Kihei for lots of sun, sea, and snorkeling. Stroll along the coast or discover the amazing sunsets in this family-friendly area. Explore the coastline in this romantic area and enjoy its great restaurants.

Maui Ocean Center

Meet the marine animals that live at Maui Ocean Center during your tour of Maalaea. Stroll along the area’s coastline or try its fine seafood restaurants.

Haiku has its charms, but be sure to explore the surrounding area. There are plenty of accommodation options. We suggest Maui Haiku House. Do you want to know more about Haiku, Maui tourism?

What to do in Maui

In addition to the tourist attractions mentioned above and the diverse and beautiful beaches in each of them, tourism in Maui has more options. One of the coolest tours to do in Maui is to visit molokini, an ecological sanctuary located just minutes from the coast of Maui. We recommend snorkeling to the Turtle Town on molokini, which is currently the most popular tour for tourists on Maui.

It is a volcanic crater, one of only 3 similar formations in the world, being among the best places for snorkeling and diving in the world.  In addition, the state is home to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, one of the sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. On Maui, you can visit the Haleakala National Park, where the Haleakala volcano stands at 3,055 meters high. In addition, Maui has several hiking trails, such as the Pipiwai Trail, Makahiku and Waynoka Falls, Ohio Lagoon, etc.
